How much do dental implants cost in Mexico?

Real 2026 prices, what's included, what isn't — and whether it's still worth it after flights.

Reviewed by Dr. Andrea Chávez Laurent, DDS · Updated July 2026

The short answer

A single dental implant in Mexico costs about $700–$1,500 USD, versus $3,000–$5,000 in the United States. All-on-4 runs roughly $8,000–$12,000 per arch in Mexico versus $20,000–$30,000 in the US — savings of 50–70%.

That's the headline. But a price is only useful if you know what it includes — and this is where most patients get surprised. Below is a straight breakdown, including the parts clinics don't always put in the ad.

⚠️ What's usually NOT in the price

This is the single most important part of this guide. A "$700 implant" almost never means a finished tooth. Quoted prices often cover only the titanium fixture placement. Ask specifically about:

The one question that protects you: "Please send me a written treatment plan that lists everything included and everything that is not." A serious clinic will send it before you book a flight. If they won't, that's your answer.

Why is it so much cheaper? (The honest reason)

Not because of cheap materials. The price gap is mostly cost of doing business: labor, real estate, malpractice insurance and administrative overhead are dramatically lower in Mexico than in the US. Dentists here pay a fraction of what a US practice pays just to keep the lights on.

The same recognized implant systems and the same ceramics — zirconia and e.max — used in top US and Canadian practices are available here. What changes is the overhead, not the titanium.

An in-house digital lab removes the middleman — that's real cost control, not corner-cutting.

Is it still worth it after flights and hotel?

Honest answer: it depends on the size of your case.

The rule of thumb: the bigger the case, the more the math works. If you're quoted $45,000 in the US for a full mouth, a trip to Mexico can leave you with a new smile and more than $20,000 still in your account.

Frequently asked questions

How much do dental implants cost in Mexico?

About $700–$1,500 USD per implant for the titanium fixture, versus $3,000–$5,000 in the US. At Aurum Dental, implants start at $700. The crown or final restoration is quoted separately in your plan.

How much does All-on-4 cost in Mexico?

Roughly $8,000–$12,000 per arch in the Cancún area, versus $20,000–$30,000 per arch in the US. Aurum's full-mouth package (both arches) starts at $17,500.

Why are implants cheaper in Mexico?

Lower labor, real estate, insurance and overhead — not lower-quality materials. The same implant systems and ceramics (zirconia, e.max) used in top US practices are available here.

What's usually not included in the price?

Often the abutment and crown, bone grafts, sinus lifts, extractions, CT scans and temporaries. Always ask for a written plan listing what's included and what isn't.

Is it worth it after flights and hotel?

For one small treatment, the margin is modest. For multiple implants or full mouth, savings of $10,000–$25,000+ far exceed $800–$2,000 in travel. The bigger the case, the more the math works.

Can I pay in installments?

Payment options vary by clinic and case. Ask about it directly when you request your written plan — at Aurum we'll walk you through the options for your treatment.
